About Draftmate

Hey there!

My name is Jean-Michel, and I’m an amateur developer. This is my very first project, a simple tool to help with your NHL draft.

The idea came from my own experience. My friends and I had been using an Excel sheet we built over the years to manage our drafts, but there wasn’t really a smooth online option that did what we needed. So, I decided to build one.

Right now, the website lets you create a draft, but it doesn’t track live stats or scores. I didn’t have time to dive into implementing live data scraping (and to be honest, I probably never will for this project). Instead, I made it easy to export your drafted teams so you can use them with the app of your choice that handles live scoring.

Since this is still a new and personal project, there might be bugs here and there. I added a bug report option in case you run into anything—feedback is always welcome! I can’t promise quick updates or constant support, but I’ll do my best to keep the site running smoothly. And if it ends up gaining some traction, I’ll consider adding more features.
